Virulite Benefits

The Virulite CSŪ device differs from all currently available cold sore treatments:

  • It works and has been medically proven to work with no recorded side effects
  • Reduces cold sore healing time by half once blisters have arrived (compared to Aciclovir antiviral ointment), 4.3 days in clinical trials
  • If used in the tingling stage can even abort a cold sore eruption
  • Effective even once the blisters have arrived
  • In the majority of cases only 2 treatment cycles per cold sore are required
  • Enhances local immune response and can help reduce the recurrence of future outbreaks
  • No side effects or potentially harmful drug interactions
  • Does not require the application of messy ointments
  • Uses naturally occurring light
  • Unlimited Treatments
  • The device is highly portable and long lasting
About Clinical Trials

Virulite CSŪ is clinically proven in a human trials conducted in the UK, to halve the healing time (healed in just 4.3 days) as compared to topically applied Aciclovir (Zovirax). The data, from a random, double blind, placebo controlled trial was published in the peer reviewed Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, see link to Issue 26.

A peer review means that an independent panel, appointed by the publication reviews the article to ensure that the data was in no way skewed by a fault in the clinical trial protocol, that the statistical analysis is correct and that the scientific conclusions are supported by the data.

Volunteers who took part in the clinical trials reported a significant reduction in the recurrence rate of cold sores at the treatment site as well as a rapid reduction in the discomfort and tingling normally associated with the cold sore eruption

Further human (in vivo) and laboratory (in vitro) trial and research is ongoing and results will be published in addition to the three papers already published on the Virulite treatment.
